After update battery will only charge to 87%

Let your battery discharge completely and charge to full capacity again to reset the circuitry involved.

I swear this is a marshmallow bug. I get this from time to time. The only way to "fix" it is to pull the battery. We have 3 Note4s in my family and it happens to all of them (after updating to Marshmallow). So I'm pretty convinced it's software related. I tried new batteries as well, same thing will happen once in a while. Very annoying!

This worked for a couple of days. This morning 87% after all night charge. Pulled the battery letting it charge without powering up note, waiting to see if it gets to a 100% or at least past 87%.

Had to pull battery again after overnight charge read 90%, put battery back in says 100% again.

and you're a Verizon phone as well? My international Note 4 doesn't experience this bug in Marshmallow.

@44pirate have you tried a cache clear in Recovery Mode?
