After using the phone for a week...

Kate and I both got identical Pixel 3 XL 128's on Oct 18th.
Kate upgraded from a Nexus 6 and I upgraded from a Pixel 2 XL.
Kate got an Otterbox Symmetry case and I got a Google Fabric "Fog" case.
So far we both absolutely love our Pixel 3 XL 128's!
We both also got Pixel stands that sit right beside our Windows 10 PC's.
Pixel stands make the Pixel experience even better.
We've also been on Google Fi for the past year and love it too.

So wonderful...enjoy

i love the phone too. yes, there is definitely some bugs and the battery life can be better, but over all i really like it. I know google will update the phone to fix some of the issues and if they fix the mess with wireless charging, it will be even better.

Upgraded to the 3 XL 64 from a S8. Very pleased with it. Seems quick to act on swipes, open apps, etc. Battery has lasted all day with no issues or significant economizing. Put a generic, clear, thin TPU case on it for protection and still fits in my pocket quite well. Now it's learning to implement a lot of the AI and features to their best utilization.

This first week was fill with a lot of setting up, comparing and testing. Overall things are good. I love this phone.

Pixel phones are simply amazing devices. While I don't think they're for everyone, I do think that when the Google experience resonates with a consumer nothing else will do. I've loved every generation and think it's about as close to perfect as a mobile device can be for me right now.

Hear pros and cons those of us that havent bought one and are researching really could use a bit more details please.

I've switched over from an iPhone7.
My pixel 3 doesn't have any of the issues that have been reported.
Overall I'm very happy with my new phone. There are a few small issues, but I think that mostly down to me being new to the green side ;)

I like the phone a lot. I find myself looking for the notch sometimes because I actually forget that its there. That is how much it hasn't bothered me. I hope Google can update the phone to fast wirelessly with other charging pads besides their own. If they fix the memory issue then I won't have any other issues with it. With rumors of the OnePlus 6T being certified for Verizon they would have to blow my mind away for me to give up my Clearly White 128 GB Pixel 3 XL.

I have mostly good experiences. It's very fast and the screen is gorgeous. The camera is dslr quality. I tried the first Pixel and returned it. So glad there are many improvements by the 3rd generation. I have heard some noise with videos but hopefully they will fix that.

I, too, have been very happy with my Pixel 3 (coming from a Nexus 5X) over this first week. All of my experience is, of course, in reference to an aging 5X (bought when it was released) The battery life is fine (I easily make it through a day). The screen is a big improvement. The camera is almost magical compared to the 5X. The only stumble for me has been transitioning to the gesture navigation of Pie.

I had a 128GB Clearly White Pixel 3 XL. The still photographs from the phone is ridiculously amazing; however, the video recording leaves a lot to be desired. The overall experience from the phone is "meh". The phone maxes out at 128GB of storage, only 4GB of RAM, and fast wireless charging is only available if you purchase the $80 accessory. The notch is constantly slapping you in the face while you're using it, even more so than on other notched devices like the iPhone Xs. The gestures are clunky and less-fluid than you'd find on the iPhone Xs. The battery life was good when I was using it. I was able to go to bed with about 50% left in the tank.

If Google would've put 6GB of RAM, had a 256GB or higher storage configuration, and better video recording, I would've easily kept the phone. But there's better alternatives out there for the price and those are worth exploring if you're okay with less frequent Android updates.

I'm very happy with the new Pixel 3 XL. (coming from original Pixel XL). It's noticeable faster (due to updated SOC) and LOVE the updates to the camera The one thing that bothers me is that the camera experiences 'lens flare' more than I would like. But overall, great phone!.

I'm just hours away from a full week with my Pixel 3XL, and overall I am very happy with the phone.

I occasionally experience some app dumping -- several combinations of Pocket Caster, Audible, Maps, and the Phone don't seem to play well together. It has not been severe enough for me to try the White List method, but it is getting close. I hope there is a fix soon.

I was worried about the notch when I ordered, half expecting to switch to the 3, but I never notice it. Well, almost never, the one app that the notch is obvious to me and not handled well is Googles very own Feed (or whatever we call it these days). Since all the info flows to the top of the screen, the notch is much more apparent.

I think my dark wallpapers also help hide the notch. Bummed that they broke Marvelous Marble :(

Here are the small things that I love:
  • Camera is great. Night Sight is off the chain good. Lens is finally incorporated better.
  • Screen is great.
  • Device build is fantastic.
  • Glad to have wireless charging back as an option.
  • Call screening
  • Very fluid feel
  • Google assistant is getting better and better integration

It's a nice phone.
Like No Bixby button.
Being able to delete apps.

But after having a S8+, it needs a lot more work to make it easier to use.
