I'm in Mexico and my sister brought me my Pixel 3 Sunday, January 13th. I set it up and I think it's great. I'm quite deaf and don't do phone calls but I do text messaging, use the camera a lot, use Google maps a fair amount. My calendar is probably the app I use the most.
Google lens is a hoot. Yes, sometimes it doesn't work but I took a picture of a church door in La Crucecita de Huatulco and clicked on Google Lens. It immediately told me what church it was. I also took a picture of a large moth and Google Lens said it was a moth sound in Asia. There was also a link to "similar photos." I clicked on that and the second photo was, as I recall, a Xalapa Prometheus. Xalapa is the capitol of the State of Veracruz which borders the State of Oaxaca on the north. Lens missed but got me close enough to find what I wanted. I have found that if I take a photo of a lawn it won't tell me what kind of grass it is.
I love the focus tracking. I don't know what they call it but if you focus on a kid or a puppy or tennis player the focus will follow the target as it moves. That is so cool.
