I'm snagging a thunderbolt today, even though my Droid X is still going strong. The only reason I'm doing it is to lockup the unlimited LTE data plan for $29/month.
Well its been a no go on getting the activation fee waived. I will keep at it!
And as far as LTE goes, I will not be sending my Xoom to get the upgrade. I have no interest in a new antenna that will drain my battery faster and use more data. I couldn't imagine how fast I would burn through 1gb of data with LTE and I have been happy with the 3g speeds. I will see what you all say when you get your radio swapped out.
Edit; what is the exact reason you felt the activation fee should be waived? In other words, how do I approach it with the Rep? I don't feel I should be charged the activation fee because.... The excuse they gave me was they couldn't do it there. I had to go back to the store I purchased it from and have them credit me back.
Because they don't charge an activation fee to iPad users....that's a good one.
I just refused to pay it, and told them if they wanted to charge me that they could, but I was going to cancel it was the last $35 they'd ever get from me.
He tried to cut it in half, and I still told him no, that wasn't going to work.

check out this article, Verizon is supposed to refund activation fees. Hopefully soon.
Also I found an ipad case by Targus (best buy) it has handles, 3 pockets, padded and fits the Xoom well. It will serve until I find a case made for the Zoom that I like better.
