I never used air gestures on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and it appears that Samsung is doing away with them on the Note 4, perhaps gone for good from all future Samsung phones? Who knows.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review: Four of a kind - GSMArena.com
" The IR gesture sensor of the Note 3 is gone as the Note 4 doesn't have the air gestures - obviously Samsung has decided that polishing those and making them usable isn't either feasible or worthwhile. "

Anyone upset by this? Did you depend on the air gestures?

I won't miss them. The only air gesture I ever used was Quick Glance.

I used the palm swipe for screenshot all of the time, although the s-pen screenshot functionality is simple as well.

The S Pen was so much faster. I use it all the time to take screenshots. I'm definitely looking forward to the new Smart Select feature though.

I actually just watched a review of the Note 4 (DetroitBORG) on youtube and he used palm swipe to take a screenshot.

You can also take a screen shot by pushing the power & home screen buttons at the same time.

Although, doing a handswipe does help to clean the screen. :-)

Try Settings > Device > Accessibility > Dexterity & interaction > Air wake up

It wakes up the device to your lock screen with a wave of the hand. Still looking for the REAL air gesture screen.

Yep here is what I see for anything gesture related.

The feature that is NOT present is to answer the call by waving the hand. :( But I found that you can turn on Settings / Accessibility / Answering/ending calls, Using voice commands ON and then when the phone rings you can say "answer" and it works like a charm!

Yeah i am so used to using this to skip it in pages. Now i can't do this anymore. very disappointed disappointed disappointed

Never used the air gestures imo they mere just useless bloat. At east I'm happy that SamSung got rid of those
