Airplane mode. Is it good for the Cinema

I am in the habit of switching of my phones when at the cinema. After the film I switch back on but I now wonder about airplane mode. Is this just as good. No reminders, no calls, no alarms and no alerts. Am I correct? Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Airplane Mode is fine, but reminders and notifications from apps that don't require an active web connection will still occur, so you'd still want to turn the volume to silent or vibrate only.
