Airplane mode will only work when controlled by sprint zone?

So I DL'd some airplane mode widgets and tried them out. None of them will turn off anything but my bluetooth. I have tried free widgets and I even bought beautiful widgets (not for the airplane mode specifically). None of these work. However when I use sprint zone it works fine.

Any thoughts?

I know the other ways to engage airplane mode. I want my widgets to work though. Like I said the airplane mode in the sprint zone widget works fine. But that thing takes up a whole screen. I want my 1x1 airplane mode widget to work properly.

Has anyone else with a Optimus S had this issue?

Downloaded "Airplane Mode Widget" by Sisedl media; works fine for me as far as I can tell - all my radios got disabled, the airplane mode icon vanished, and after disabling it, it took a moment to get data access back (consistent with it trying to reconnect to my Wifi network).

Interesting that one does work....sounds like I need to send an email to the beautiful widgets creators about their airplane mode app and it working with the Optimus S.

Why does that one have to be soooooo ugly though
