Alarm Clock Failing?

it's still not working. It?s all the alarms on my phone. They just give a quick beep and the turns silent. really annoying

Silent does not disable alarm sounds.
Actually, there's a setting for that. In addition to that setting have you tried changing the alarm ringtone and volume?

There's a setting to disable the alarm while in silent mode? I feel like I'm forgetting the things Android can and can't do because I'm making quite a few mistakes lately.

yes I?ve tried that too. Still unstable. Tried everything. It still only works if I set the alarm for 5-10 minutes it works but when it's for 20 minutes or an hour the problem occurs...

Were you ever able to fix this? This problem started occurring for me after I updated to 4.3, although I don't know if I get any notification at all like you do for a second or two, I just know that my alarm no longer goes off in the morning enough to wake me up It works fine if I test it for say a minute or two out.

Hey I set an alarm yesterday, and switched off my phone. Any other phone should turn on and sound the alarm but some how my nexus 5 doesn't do that. Any of you having this problem. This is one of the basic function that a smart phone should have. I wish to report this problem to Google. Can you share a link where I can report this issue.

So I was having the exact same problem (have never installed a task killer) on my Galaxy S4. Installed another alarm app and still didn't work. I was getting ready to sell it and get the Moto X so I didn't worry about it too much. Well now I have my Moto X and I'm having the same problem. It MUST be some app conflicting with it; thats the only thing I can figure out. I'm about to just say forget it and factory reset. Has anyone else had any insight to this?
