Alarm not working when Hibernating (das BAMF 1.6.3)

For some reason it's hard to find info on the hibernate option in the das BAMF ROM, but from what i've heard most people say, I figured that my alarm should wake the phone up when hibernating. Is this not the case? I'm using the default alarm that is packaged into the HTC clock.

I was also wondering what exactly does hibernate option do.
