My wife just got the G6 and she is getting a notification 2 hours before an alarm is going to go off. How do you turn this off?

I haven't found a way yet. I have two alarms to remind me to give my dog his medication every 12 hours every single day. Getting a 2 hour warning about these alarms is pretty damn annoying. It's an alarm. If I wanted it 2 hours ahead of time, I would set another alarm.

Does the pre-alarm notification also give you a notification tone, or is it just a silent notification? It's normal for there to be a silent notification letting you know an alarm is coming up, but it shouldn't beep at you.

Exactly this. Plus that notification allows you to dismiss that alarm too. If you wake up early and don't need it to go off, for an example.

I have to see. We are on opposite shifts currently and I have not seen her in 2 days, lol. I'll find out.

She's talking about taking it back to get the S8. Between this, no LED notification light and she doesn't like the feeling of the phone, she may not even keep it :(

Which app is she using for the alarm? I do not have this issue when I set my alarms. I use the Clock app.

I get that notification too on my V20. I believe it's just part of this version of LG UX

No. There is an alarm set that I know about... I don't want a notification. It's redundant. I don't need a "Hey your alarm is going to go off in 2 hours" notification. That entirely defeats the purpose of an alarm

that is odd. Never heard of that problem before.
