Hope someone can help.. On my P6P when a clock alarm was set and went off, I had to option to say "snooze" or "stop" which was great for me as I work in the fish business had my hand are constantly wet and greasy making it difficult to swipe the screen. This is not working on my P7P... Can anyone help please? Thanks, David

I noticed something similar yesterday when I was receiving a phone call I couldn't take. I said "decline" but the call kept ringing. With my P6P the call would've stopped ringing but not with my P7P. I checked my voice assistant settings and everything seems set correctly so I'm not sure why the voice commands didn't work with the incoming call.

I haven't had to retrain my voice for several phones now. I just log into my Google account and it recognizes me. Also "hey Google" is working fine on my P7P so I'm not sure why some commands don't seem to work.

Same here.. Hey Google, OK Google works fine and can use it to turn off alarm but rather than just saying "stop" or "snooze" (which worked for me even if I asked a member of staff to tell the alarm to stop or snooze) I now have to use the command" OK Google, turn off alarm" something which only I can do... Just a bit frustrating tbh....

“Hey Google”. STOP. Works for me
Yep, that works for me but if I'm not near the alarm and we have quite a noisy environment at work, I have been able to ask the nearest member of staff to say snooze or stop but if they say OK Google stop or stop alarm it won't work because mine is the only trained voice on my phone. Just a convenience for me if I can get it working as it was...

Not too sure how well the voice training works. Just yesterday I was watching a YouTube video about a review of the pixel 7 and when the name Google was said my phone lit up and at the top said how may I help you?
Same thing happens with an iPhone and Siri sometimes. I was on a zoom call with some people and one of them was named Sarah and when someone else on the call said her name Siri lit up on my iPhone. So I don't think the voice training is 100%. Anyway. I think anyone could get into these phones by just saying hey ...????

Just read this on YT comments, it's YT comments so take it with a grain of salt LOL, haven't tried it.

Also, not sure if you know this, but open the Google Home app on your phone, tap the settings, then tap on Quick Phrases. Turn on Alarms and timers and Incoming Calls and you can answer your phone by simply saying “Answer”, deny a call by simply saying “Decline” or stop ringing by saying “Silence.” You can stop alarms by saying “Stop” or snooze the alarm for default amount of time by saying “Snooze.” It's quite handy to answer the phone when your hands are dirty or doing dishes. lol

I just saw the same comment after watching a video by Android Central. Went to settings and searched "quick phrases" and the toggle for incoming calls was off. Switched it back on and hopefully it'll work going forward. There's also a toggle for silencing or snoozing the alarm without saying hey Google.

So what benefit is there if I tell the assistant to answer my call when my hands are wet/dirty and I still have to pick up the phone to hear anything? If I need to put the phone to my ear, then I might as well wipe off my hands and swipe to answer! Does anyone know of a way to force the call to speakerphone when using the assistant to answer the phone?

On my P6P the phone call automatically answered in speaker mode. Haven't tried it yet on my P7P but I assume it's the same.
