Hi All,

I am new to android phone. I have a question about setting up alarm. I would like to set 3 alarms. 2 alarms with sound and one with vibrate only. There doesn't seem to have an option to disable alarm ring-tone or set to no sound. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks.

Hmm, there might be a third party app that does this for you.
Let me check.

Edit: Okay yes there is.

Check the market for "Digital Clock" and open the app.
Menu--> Alarm... and you can set it to any song/ringtone you want... and there's a vibrate option for if you want to vibrate as well as play the ringtone... or just vibrate.

Edit 2:

You might not want to use this app overnight, even if you are charging. Because when you charge and reach 100%, it stops charging and the app can use battery all night.
So if you use the app, make sure you exit out of it. The alarm will still occur, but the app can be minimized.

This may seem roundabout... but it's not that bad.

I am assuming you have this screen. I don't know if Cyanogen's is different than stock but anyway.

Should be an option for no ringtone and to just vibrate.

If you don't want to use a separate app, you can create a blank mp3 file (call it silent.mp3 or something) and put it on your SD card in media>audio>alarms

Use that "sound" file for your silent (vibrate only) alarms and it should work fine.

@Yourdogsdead

The HTC clock is different from the one Cyanogen uses. I don't know if the one Cyanogen uses is the default Android one or not...

Anyway, HTC clock is different. It has the white background.
I'm running Cyanogen too, and just noticed the apps were different.

Another great reason to run Cyanogen. And thanks for not quoting my post, large images can be a pain.

The method should work with the stock HTC ROM, no rooting required.

Thanks All for the suggestion. It seem that Digital Clock only allow you to set one alarm. I guess I will go for the silent mp3 method since I haven't root my phone yet.

Miky.

Miky.

You can also set alarms via the Clock app.
So you can set the Digital Clock alarm to be the vibrate alarm... and the other two alarms you can use the actual HTC Clock app.

But whatever works for you.
