Alarm turns itself off...

Pixel 2 XL. My alarm will go off and within three or four seconds it will display alarm off and turn itself off without any interaction whatsoever. I have a backup alarm set a couple minutes after this but then that one never goes off.

I have had this problem since day one with this pixel but my wife's works fine. I factory reset I've tried it on 8.1 beta, and it still does this.

Anyone else experience this? My alarm is 100 % useless on this phone

Is it connected to a smartwatch? I can imagine a scenario where the watch might be registering some sort of alarm dismissal (either from an accidental touch, or due to a bug).

It is connected to a Moto 360. Maybe I will unpair it tonight and see what happens.

I haven't contacted Google support yet. I'll go through a few other things including another factory reset without automatic restoring anything. I really don't have any weird apps that would potentially cause an issue like this.

I would just add that someone else here was having alarm-related issues that turned out to be caused by a third-party alarm app that he had installed on his previous phone and carried over to his new Pixel 2.

Try opening the Android Wear app on your phone, tap the gear icon at the upper right, then Block App Notifications. What happens if you block the Clock app?

I tried that and it still rung the alarm to the watch.

This didn't happen until Oreo came out. I had similar issues with my original pixel XL.

Maybe I need to submit a bug report

I assume your wife doesn't have an Android Wear watch, correct? It sounds like it could be a Moto 360 issue, since I have a Huawei Watch and LG Watch Style, and neither of them seem to affect the alarm. I'm not sure how much Lenovo is supporting the Moto 360 watches, but it would still be worth contacting them about this bug, in addition to contacting Google.

You are correct, my wife does not have a watch. I'll send the reports out to both and see if anything comes of it.

I've actually been looking into the LG watch style and Sport. The price for a good used one is fairly cheap right now and I tend to abuse my watches so I don't want a brand new one

The titanium LG Watch Style is still only $99 at B&H, although it's currently on back order: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...tml/BI/20079/KBID/13844/SID/UUacUvbUpU6105408. I got one a few weeks ago, and it's a terrific value at that price. Feels very nice, has snappy performance. Only downsides are significantly shorter battery life than my Huawei Watch, and (if it's important to you) no heart rate sensor or NFC.
