Alarm Volume Reseting?

Hello all,

I've found a really annoying bug with my phone and I would like to get it resolved if possible...

I have a Sprint Hero non-rooted. When I set an alarm, I'm running into the issue that sometimes, randomly, the volume of the alarm has been set to zero. Meaning the alarm goes off, but without sound... Useless, right?

The only way to increase the alarm volume from what I can tell is open up the clock -> alarms -> click on the time to set a specific alarm -> Alarm sound, and from there, where I can select a specific alarm tone, use the rocker on the side of the phone to increase/decrease the volume. I've searched high and low and see no other way of changing the alarm volume. This seems to change to volume independent to the overall phone volume.

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks!
Mario

Do you have any 3rd party app that touches phone volume controls? Not just ringer and media, but all the volumes? Media, Alarm and Main volume can all affect the Alarm app volume.

For me it's a very big deal... I late 1 1/2 hours at work today :(.
It is not a solution to check it before you go to sleep ... we don't know what makes it so it can mute itself without user interaction while you're sleeping.

What 3rd party apps have you got highwayman1224?

This happened to me as well earlier this week. The only app I have in common with your list is facebook. Not sure what could be causing it.

I spend way too much time sitting while text rolls by on a computer monitor. I like to pass that time playing Robo Defense :)

If I turn down the media volume while playing it, my alarm volume goes down. It shouldn't...but it does.

Well that might explain my alarm issue. I check mine every night to make sure that the alarm sound is up, because it always seems to be "reset" to half way.

I've had to set the alarm every night just to be on the safe side. Not a big deal, but with the ability to set mutiple alarms it would be nice just to "set it and forget it".

I would like to try to figure out what is causing this to happen. The one morning the alarm volume got set to silent, i had been charging it. Even that night before i had set it, but during the night, i woke up and unplugged it. I don't see how that would effect the volume. But thats the only thing I did different. But now, to be safe i check the alarm every night.
