Alcatel pixi 3 music from sf

hi.

so I've recently been relegated from having a note 4 to a pixi 3 running KitKat 4.4.2.

the onboard memory is terrible, therefore SD storage is essential so all my music files are on the SD storage.

my problem is that I can't get the music player to scan and play files​ from the card.

please help!!

Welcome to Android Central! It probably has to do with KitKat's SD restrictions: http://www.androidcentral.com/kitkat-sdcard-changes.

What directory are the music files saved to on the SD? Make sure you don't see a ".nomedia" file there.

Also, try some 3rd party music player apps to see if they have permission to use the SD card.
