Alerts and Texts not staying deleted

Every time I power off my Gear S3 then turn it back on it brings up Months old Texts and emergency alerts. I re-delete them in the settings but they keep reappearing. I have the watch paired with my Iphone 8 and the messages are from the previous owner with a different phone number,
