All Calls Disconnect in 8 seconds

With the Optimus V on Virgin Mobile in the Los Angles area all my calls are disconnecting after 8 seconds. Including when trying to call 611. I'm wondering if this is a network issue or a software issue with something that rolled out last night. So to track that back:

Is there an update log anywhere on the phone? I'd like to see if an automatic update run in the last 12 hours.

Also, is anyone seeing this issue on a non Optimus V? I'm wondering if it's the whole network, or just us.

Dude same here. I'm in so much with my staff sergeant because he thinks I keep hanging up on him. I'm beyond pissed
 
Oh damn, I just made a thread about this, same thing happening to me, but in like only 4 seconds.
 
Where are you guys located? I'm wondering if this is local to me (Los Angeles) or if this is more widespread.
 
San Francisco, CA...mods, may we combine these threads please? I've seen 3 so far that are dealing with the same issue.
 
Me too. On hold with VM x 45 minutes now. Apparently they are experiencing system issues (as per the automated recording). Will continue holding...will update when I get more info.
 
Just talked with a CSR at VM. He said that this is an issue with the service and not with the phone. Anticipates it to be fixed in 2-3 hours.

Damn, guess I shouldnt have spent all day trying to reflash various ROMs to my phone! oh well, I'll chalk it up to experience...
 
Must be fixed in Louisiana, just talked to my wife for 15 minutes. My phone rooted, hers stock.
 
Fixed for me too Bethel ct. Called vm they gave me 30 minutes free. Called my mom each time hanging up on her.

down here in Chattanooga, TN for about 10 hours. I'm back up now but a couple people i know are still down.. ridiculous.. couldn't even make a 911 call if you had too! :mad:
 
Next time you experience issues like this, try checking the VM twitter feed, it usually will have info about any outages, and save you so much effort trying to fix something you have no control of. ;)
 
good idea.. i installed iho several times and restored an old harmonia rom... then gave up.
 
It wasn't nationwide, I never had any disconnects in Louisiana. I talked to my wife 3 times today for 30-45 minutes each time. We both have the optimus v, mine is rooted hers is stock, and we never got disconnected.
 
i go to virgin mobiles facebook page and ask ?'s there over calling customer support all dayyy. they respond within 5 minutes, and if its a personal problem, they'll have u email their social support team and u get quick replys/better help than a typical customer support rep.
