All Facebook contacts missing?

I may need handcuffs to leave my phone alone! Haha - I'll try that again tonight and make sure that the data saver is off too...

exactly it was hard for me too, but this was the reward so i was willing to sacrifice.
plus i set up chores i needed to do so i was so distracted to leave it alone.

i hope this helps someone

yea i did, personally i dont think the facebook app you download from the market has anything to do with your phone syncing with facebook.
Thats why it doesnt give us the option under the app, it may just be something they missed or need to fix.

but no i do not thing the app whether you have it or not affects the syncing as long as you have it programmed under accounts

Not on the bionic you are correct. On the HTC android phones it syncs contacts though.

I am seriously doubting this is a setting thing and betting there has to be a work around. Still hoping.

Vato might be on to something here though. Log out. Reboot. Sign back in and leave it alone for a while.

It worked for her at first then I logged her put and back in and it no longer worked.

Darn it. I was lurking and hoping. I wonder if there is an actual Facebook setting on the main website?

I think that that is the exact problem - when I first registered my Droid X, the droid requested permission from facebook to access my info and then there was an app called "Droid" which didn't do anything, but housed the permissions for my phone to access my facebook. This time around when registering the Bionic, I was not prompted to do the same thing.

There is an ok work around - Friends Sync that will bring in all your FB contacts or just your FB contacts that are in your phone contact list. Download the app and then go to My Accounts and follow the instructions to set it up. I'm going to torture myself and call Verizon/Motorola and try to get the native app working probably this weekend and I'll let everyone know if I get it fixed/how it happened.

Just noticed today that my contacts finally sync'ed - I guess it really can take hours to days....I didn't change any permissions or anything else just finally went through.

That is so bizarre. I wish I understood more of how push social networking worked on this phone vs the polling option.
