all my data deleted

[AC Question]

i connected my htc desire 816g to pc through usb and i deleted files which are in [.] dot form and files which cant be open in android.
when i removed android from pc suddenly everything pics mp3 videos all disappeared.

my android is rooted . could someone deleted r steal my data like hackers

Welcome to the forums. You may have deleted that information when you removed the files from the phone on the PC. Do you recall exactly what the files were?

I doubt there was a hacker at play. Something must have been connected to the media upon deletion. Especially when they were lost right after the fact.
