Hi, actually it may be my wifi extender. My wife just informed me that her iPhone had only 20% on her battery this morning and that never happened before. And I keep getting a message that says wifi disconnected. Then seconds later it'll connect again.

Lately I have been having the same issues with the V10. Excellent phone. But honestly, the battery life is leaning on the side of being completely unacceptable. Seriously I was listening to a podcast and the screen was on for less than 30 minutes at somewhere around 30% brightness and the battery drained 24% I think. I like being able to toss in my spare battery but this was right after I had did just that. Hopefully the Marshmallow update will solve this one big issue I have with the V10. The other small issues are very minute in an almost near perfect phone for me.

I've also noticed for the last month or so that my battery is getting crushed. Culprits are screen and Android system (which could be a slew of things). It's a shame how quickly I see the battery drain from just reading news articles in the morning.

No issues with mine in that department. My battery lasts me all day and then some.
One day I went to sleep at midnight and phone was at 9% after 15 hours of the charger. Lots of screen time that day.

That happens to me sometimes too. Some days the phone will last all day but I do get days where my phone will be down to 20% by lunch. On those days it is running really hot just sitting on my desk. I think it's because I am right on the edge of the tower limit. I drift in and out of signal so it's constantly searching for signal. This phone does run hotter than any phone I've ever owned before though. Just running apps/games I notice it gets quite hot to the touch around the power button. I have to wonder if this is normal and is it doing any damage to the phone or battery.

The only time I have battery drain is if I Miracast to Roku and watch a 1080 HD movie. Then within 1-1/2 hours the battery will drain 15-20%. Needless to say don't use the Miracast much.

I had the same problem and found that it was LG's music app. I killed the app and disabled it and haven't had any trouble since.

I feel like that's justified though since that's more of an intense/complex task but simple podcast listening and 20% drop with a screen on time of less than 35 minutes was just ridiculous to me. But some days battery life is actually surprisingly good. Some days...

What would be a better alternative to using the LG music app?

Ok, seems that we had an issue with my wifi extender. It was cutting in & out continuously. So I reset it, and now we're back to normal. I thought it was my v10, but when my wife's iPhone (ooo, dirty words) did the same thing and we saw the info popping up saying wifi disconnected every few seconds, we finally figured it out.
