All Of A Sudden WiFi Is Terrible

I've been using wifi on my phone since the first day I got it and it has been great. Never any issues and always very fast regardless of signal strength. All of a sudden whenever I connect to wifi (even with a very strong signal) it either works extremely slowly or not at all as in web pages dont load and my email accounts are unable to refresh. These are networks i have connected to in the past and have worked fine (not my home one) and also work very well for other people. So what's going on? Everyday this phone gets worse and worse for me.

I just did some speed test for posting in another thread and i had to change servers multiple times because the speeds were inconsistent. try changing your server and see what happens. remember the way the web works is the closest server may not be fastest.

If these are free WiFi spots, keep an eye on how many other people you see with phones or laptops out. It could be all the bandwidth is being ate up.

If your WiFi at home still works on the X one of a few things has happened, but it's not a phone hardware problem. Something could have changed with the WiFi networks. Passwords or settings on your phone may have gotten changed.

Are you using any sort of task killer or task manager? I have seen these cause all sorts of stupid problems with apps and GPS antennas and would not be surprised if they cause WiFi issues as well.

Do you have your Bluetooth on? I've found that as of late if I'm connected to BT, my WiFi takes a huge dump. Borders on unusable. If I disconnect from BT, the WiFi goes back up to normal (very fast)....

I had some issues today with getting connected to a SSID that I had added manually. It was a router with a hidden SSID that dumps you to a Guest landing zone at work. Worked fine all day yesterday, today I couldn't get connected. I didn't pull the battery, but I did restart the phone.

Reboot fixes the problem for me but only for a short time. No other device in my house has this issue. I hope this is addressed in the upcoming update.
