Android Central Question

After upgrading to Oreo, now all of my preview / pop ups, like for text messaging and calendar, are completely gone. The sound notification works but no pop-ups even though the settings "preview messages" and sound and pop up on screen" are all set to ON!

Thanks for the suggestion but that didn't work. There are only like 9 things listed there, none of which is "messaging" or "calendar". There was something called "notifications" listed but the icon next to it is the "settings" icon. I tried that but no change.

Did you enable this?

I have a galaxy s7. I don't know where that is. Under the text message app settings and calendar settings, everything is set to show previews. See attachments.

So, apparently, my t-mobile updated phone, unlocked from att but still has the bloat ware and splash screen, has different settings for aod, as I have an S7 also screenshotted.
To the point, I changed all settings to get the screen that you want, without any success. I believe that there is a glitch in the notification settings, which I would think they know by now. Still would like to to see if you have the same screen as I previously posted.
I crosschecked multiple calendars and alarms and memos/to dos and got nada. I see why your disappointed.

Its awful. and what's weird is when the screen is off when a text message comes through, the screen turns on as if a text message is appearing but there is no text message preview... The screen just turns on and you hear the sound but no pop up / preview.
