I'm tempted to write up a review, including helpful things I've figured out... but I want to work with it for another couple of days. As a quick preview review, though, I can tell you that some of the issues that people have reported are things that I can attest are there, but not nearly as annoying/bad as what I had envisioned, i.e., the phone is pretty darned good, far from perfect, but a heck of a phone nonetheless, and the pros outweigh the cons by a far margin.

I can confirm what you have confirmed. It's bloody nice, and so far the little niggles don't bother me.

The only issue I have noticed that DOES bother me, is the fact that the touchscreen misfires sometimes when typing. It's almost like it's not quite sensitive enough.

Just finished putting the tempered screen protector on 15 times because every time I did, a small piece of ninja dust got under if after I cleaned it.

Are you using the stock keyboard? I quickly switched to swiftkey.

No. I hate the stock keyboard. I use Google Keyboard.

Apparently it's a known issue. LG is looking into it. It's all over the interwebz. It's a software issue, not a digitizer hardware issue.

I tried installing SGS touchscreen booster app that everyone says fixes it, and it actually worked.

One more thing: did you turn off the built-in spellchecker? I can see how that would slow down typing a bit.

It's not a speed issue. It's a doesn't register touches issue. Doesn't matter if you are typing or opening an app. Sometimes it doesn't register the touch. :)

It's been fine since I installed that app and upped the sensitivity.

It's a fast phone compared to the G3 eh? My G3 wasn't stock, and is running a fast rom. The G4 still kills it. The camera......oh the camera.

I'm coming from an aged Note 2, so this is light years ahead.

I'm still working out how to best use the camera, going to take some nice outdoor shots tomorrow. So far I'm most enjoying the manual focus.
