Alternative to Multicon

I love Multicon - ( https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...tails?id=com.h9kdroid.multicon&token=xVyUlVrC ) it allows me to have a layout that makes accessing my most used apps super quick and conserves space. (See attachment)

Unfortunately it looks like the author has abandoned the app & some bugs have surfaced as Android has matured.

Has anyone seen a similar app function wise?

Note: I have seen one or two similar apps, but like Multicon, they have not been updated recently. Looking for a replacement app with an active developer. Paid app is fine.
