How do I find the elevation of a location. The help claims there is a LAYERS BUTTON on the screen, but I can't find it. Thanks.

It looks like two squares, one on top of the other, right underneath your profile pic at the upper right. If you don't see it, show us a screenshot.

When I try to upload the shot, this is the error.
There are no boxes to check on any of the Map screens. I must be missing something.

Sorry, I do see the box (it was so small, I didn't recognize it) but it doesn't help me other than allw me to select TERRAIN. How do I get elevation?

Sorry, the forum software is being buggy right now, not allowing anyone to post images unless you use Tapatalk or Imgur.

It looks like the Terrain layer no longer shows elevation. You may just have to use Google Earth, as mustang7757 suggested.
