Always adding pages when downloading new apps

Is there a way to turn off adding a new page whendoenloading a new app? I have extra space open on page 2 but everytime I download a new apps I have to move it to the sec page and delete the new page with 1 apps. I know its petty but I try to keep everything nice and neat and 1 appona page seems lime a waste.

If you mean apps downloaded from the Play Store then just go into the Play Store settings and uncheck "add icon to home screen".
