always on display issue

help needed
i have a strange issue i cant figure out.

always on display...on my galaxy s8+...got an analogue clock on it....but when i take phone from my pocket its always showing the wrong time, typically the time of when i put the phone in my pocket...like time doesnt update on it....second hand is still going around on the always on display clock but it doesnt update the time.

if i am explaining that to make sense.

Hey Doug, welcome to the forums.
That is a strange one!
Perhaps find aod in your settings, force stop it, wipe its cache and try again... That would be my first move when any app misbehaves.

mmm.....it appears after some testing this morning that this issue only happens on analogue clock not on a digital clock on AOD
i did what you suggested too. thanks

Since this thread is on the AOD, I hope to post my problem:
The digital AOD occasionally has seconds appearing (like stop-watch) but dissappears the next time and cannot be made to re-appear. Is there a way to make it always display seconds?

i noticed mine doing that if the screen isnt unlocked but i hit a button I think. because i have to swipe the screen to enter my password and cant just enter the password. Not sure how to default that
