Always on display - you keep "Always on" or tap?

Tap to show works great and probably going to save some battery instead of always on

Always on for me. I'm not one to chew up a battery anyway, so why not?

I kept it always on on my S8+. Not sure if I will on my S10+ if it ever gets here.

I set a custom schedule to keep it always on except from midnight to 7am. Kept noticing it won't turn off when I place the phone screen side down, hence the custom schedule to save some potential burn-in.

I use AOD on a schedule, it's on from 730am-11pm everyday. A few reasons for this 1) I use the AOD that shows you your calendar events for that day which is really handy 2) Since notification sounds won't come from the phone if connected to bluetooth I like to be able to see my notifications on AOD without having to tap. I'm connected to bluetooth ear buds all day for work but don't keep them in my ears unless I'm on a call so miss the notification sound that comes from the ear buds

Had the AOD on my S8 for two years 24/7...no signs of burn-in on it.

When aod came out, the write-ups said they use less battery, cos they only light a few pixels up and the device snoozes. If you use tap, this wakes up the phone and lights up the display.. So allegedly you use less power with it on. But is a matter of preference really...

I have it on tap to show. I would like to have it always on, but after noticing it doesn't turn off while in pocket. If Samsung fixes that then I'll change it back to always on
