Always on fingerprint indicator

I really wish Samsung gave you the option to have the fingerprint scanner always lit up like they did with the home button on the S8! No clock or anything but just the fingerprint scanner.

I was actually thinking the same thing. I mean, I'm fine with having the clock on the AOD, but I would like some kind of indicator of the FPS location so I don't have to tap the display to figure out where I'm supposed to touch the screen.

Anyone know if there's a custom AOD out there that has a fixed FPS icon?

I think there would be a problem with screen burn if thats the case.

I would also find this really useful. Maybe we'll get used to the location after a while but until then it can be tricky to locate.

This...This is the exact reason why it's not. But seriously, it's 1 tap to show. Y'all act like you have enter a PIN, then enter the last 4 of your SS, then sign above the dotted line just to get the FBS to display it's squiggly lines, lol. At least Sammy have us an option to show it.

You can use lift to wake. That should solve the problem

Actually on the S8 and S9 the home button moved very slightly to avoid this. The same could be done with an FPS indicator.

Not possible. The FPS under the screen doesn't move & since the indicator helps guide you to where to place your finger, that would defeat the purpose of the indicator.

the Home button on the S8 and S9 only moved a few pixels in any direction. definitely not enough to dramatically affect your positioning for the FPS.

Exactly. They could just light up a different fingerprint design that uses different pixels. Have 3 or 4 of those rotate.

It would move slightly. It would be fine.

Definitely would like to see the option to add it, it could shift just so slightly and you wouldn't even notice it.
