Much Improved Facial Recognition

As one who has gotten the latest Samsung Galaxy every year, to me, the most noticeable improvement with the S26Ultra has been the great improvement in the speed of facial recognition.

Coming from an iPhone, I can't compare directly to previous Samsung's, but it's definitely fast. I have mine set up for both facial recognition and fingerprint Id and it unlocks and goes to my home page before I even get a chance to put my thumb on the sensor lol!

I couldn't get it to work it registered 100% And then it just never worked. Maybe cuz I got a Zagg screen protector on or I wasn't doing something right I don't know. I did try to erase it and redo it and I couldn't get my face angled just right and it wasn't registering and I just gave up. I don't usually use face but I wanted to try it.

I use an iPhone for my job and, until the S26Ultra, iPhone beat the then latest Samsung my a mile in the facial recognition department. I'm very happy with this on the s26.

Not to mention being able to take you right to the home screen rather than having to swipe to open is also an added bonus and only makes things even faster!

The swipe on iPhone is a non issue, I swipe as I bring the phone to my face and before I know it the phone is unlocked and good to go. You don't need to scan face, wait, then swipe!

Plus it's more secure than the basic 2d Samsung face unlock and can be used for banking apps etc.

So it may be quicker but it's certainly not better.

Had a similar problem, (I'm ugly so not surprised the phone said no). Stuck with it and tried I lost how may times but, eventually, I beat the device and got there.

Yeah I was going to try again yesterday I did see where it said something at the top about facial recognition. But then it's never said that again or worked. I think I need to delete it just try again I can't ever get my face angled right.

Have a drink before trying. It works.
