Always On - Possible?

For the longest time I've wanted what the new G5 has, an always on feature. I always want the clock to be showing, along with alarms, etc. I know you can use the slide down feature, if you use the lock screen. I don't use the lock screen but I've had it active since I need it for the swipe down clock. I have tried like 15 different apps to find this SIMPLE feature and the best one I found was Glance Plus or something and it works but it needs to be like 5 times brighter since it's impossible to see it most the time... plus it goes off once in your pocket and comes back on when you take it out which is nice but it has a long delay and I can do it faster with the swipe down. I don't like the swipe down since its very buggy and end up having to do it many times...

So is there a way to have an always on that actually works? This is such and easy and simple feature... I can't believe I can't find anything for it that is decent... it is 2016.. right? lol... And no, I'm not buying the G5 just for this feature.

You could get the G5 and you'd have the always on feature. Or an S6 or S7 edge.

I'd be lucky to sell my G4 for $200.. so I'd have to fork another $400 for the G5... these phones really just aren't worth it when they come with all they're issues. And just for that feature? I couldn't justify it. After the issues with the G4... I wouldn't buy LG anymore most likely. Was hoping there was another way.

I'd hate to change my case, but my concern is the circle screen dims out after X seconds... I don't know if you can have it ALWAYS on? If so, I would try it... Do you know if you can have it always on?

Download the app DynamicNotifications. It is closely based off the Moto Display feature found on most Motorola phones nowadays. LG kinda "borrowed" that feature from them =)

I can't get it to turn on... I turn my screen off and nothing. I hold sensor, let go and give it light, still don't show up. It's on. I gave it permission... ?
