Am I missing something with Lollipop on Verizon?

I just updated to Lollipop 5.0 on my Verizon Galaxy S5 and seem to be missing many new Lollipop features I recently read about.

1) Not a big deal but there is no dedicated search bar when I open up the "settings" app. There's only the same old magnifying glass.
2) Swipe twice for new notification bar doesn't exist. I swipe down once and get the quick settings bar, swipe twice and nothing happens. I still have to do the two fingers method.
3) There's no built in, dedicated flashlight button on the notification screen. And why doesn't Android have it on the lock screen like on iPhones? This is a major pet peeve of mine. The handy quick flashlight access was one of my favorite things about my old iPhone 4S.
4) Sensitive notifications? I set my text messages to "sensitive" when on the lock screen. Full messages still appear on it.
5) I don't have an option to create guest profiles. I've searched and searched and it's not there.
6) "screen pinning" doesn't exist as an option.
7) The notifications feature is a disappointment. This is where Apple separates itself from Android. I thought I would get a similar notification experience but can't be more wrong. In iOS you can choose to get a pop up alert-style notification or a quick flipping-type message on the top bar. Lollipop doesn't offer the alert-style (at least not my phone) and the flipping-type message is inconsistent (some apps do it, some don't). And it isn't an issue of changing options within the apps themselves because I've checked. So WTF?

Most of the "missing" feature you mention are part of pure Android. Samsung and/or you're carrier have the final say in what Android features show up on our phones. Just like Blocking mode was removed from the Verizon S5 at launch when versions from other carriers had it. So, as long as you're not running stock Android you're at the mercy of Samsung and your carrier when it comes to features.
