So when I plug my s6 into my 2011 chevrolet i get an error about the data being corrupt. I contacted Samsung and they informed me that they do not support that function and that I should use mirrorlink, which isn't supported by major oems yet, let alone any vehicles that aren't brand new.

So is there an alternative, and no I do not want to use my 3.5mm aux jack. I'm not opposed to rooting the phone, but what/how do i enable the usb audio support?

that feature isn't available on anything older than 2014's for GM, at least in the trucks. So no. I know it seems like a pretty trivial gripe, but honestly music is what I use my phone for the most. I use it in the truck, at work, and at the gym.

Works on a 2011 Regal, but maybe only because it was a new model/body style at the time. When did GM restyle the Silverado/Sierra lines?

Won't work in my 13 Cruze via USB either. Samsung blames GM and vice versa.
