I was using google maps and I went to about and I saw "android:lge-thunderc-ls670" as my phone version. Does thid mean I'm using thunderom?

No. "Thunder" is LG's internal code name for the Optimus series of phones. ls670 is the specific model of "thunder" (aka optimus) you are running. Put that info together and it = You are running an LG Optimus S, code named ThunderC, model number ls670.

Yes, The Godfather is right. If you do however want to run thunder ROM, there are many helpful guides that thought me how to set up my ABD all the way to flashing a theme

I am very sorry I meant to say in my last post; that you can only run thunderROM unless you run VC. Because it is specifically designed for the update Version you have.

Your choices for a custom ROM are:

nROM: compatible with VC and V9 (I run this)
CM7: compatible with VC and V9
thunderROM: VC only

I'm interested in rooting and putting a rom on my phone, but I never done it before and I don't want to mess up my phone. I want one specifically cricket and prefet it to be 2.2. I got data and talk and txt, but no mms.

Your plan and network provider have nothing to do with your customizing intentions. All Optimus S's come stock with 2.2 A.K.A Froyo
