Am I setting myself up for Disappointment? (LG G2)

I am a Verizon customer and cannot leave them (work related). Currently I am up for renewal and had my heart set on the LG G2 (battery, screen, LED notifications, on-board memory, ect;). Then I was discouraged by the placement of the power/volume buttons and Verizon's decision to not follow the international design! Therefore, I was hoping that the Nexus 5 would somehow head to Verizon... Am I setting myself up for disappointment?

Disappointment, there's nothing wrong with the buttons. I actually prefer them. g2 is more featured and better then any nexus. And if vzw followed the other G2s we wouldn't have the qi charger.

Good points - I just couldn't get used to the buttons.

Guess only option on vzw is note 3 or iPhone 5s. But those suck with that home button.

How often do you need to use the volume buttons? After I initially set them I only need to use them when in my "other office" (bathroom at work ;) ). I use the quick settings shade to toggle from sound to silent, so I never need the buttons.

Power button may be a different story. The tap on sounds ok. It's a shame it doesn't have an auto on when removed from your pocket like the X.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you have expectations, yes.
Do research on reviews of the current VZW phones and compare them to your current phone, not each other.
If none of them is that much better, simply wait.

Enjoy whatever you have and realize all phones are still pretty flawed.

Yes probably disappointment, but nothing is official till it is official. You wont be the only one wishing...

If the FCC document is to be taken as fact, then our best hope is a Verizon version released after launch. If that were the case, then the vzw version either has not been leaked or it has yet to be submitted to the FCC.
