Am I the only one that has no problem with the placement of the finger print sensor?

I have no issue at all with the finger sensor placement. I'm coming from a LG G3, so having my index finger activate anything worked well for me. Besides, seeing the tech bloggers saying the placement will be an issue is subjective to each individual of the phone.

Just as I said before. No issue at all and loving how fast and reactivate the sensor is. I'm impressed.

I have the plus and I haven't had a single issue or problem reaching the fps.

As others have mentioned, it will take some getting used to. Whenever there are design changes, it will be awkward until muscle memory becomes habit. Getting a case will also help. Hopefully, the fps will be built in the display under the on screen home button in the GS9. It's a legitimate concern but shouldn't be a deal breaker. If it bothers you that much, the GS8 isn't for you.

No hate coming from me. None of this stuff bothers me, whether it's the location of the FPS, Bixby or the S8+ being "too tall". I absolutely love this phone and can't put it down.

I have no issue with the placement. My last phone was the LG V10 which also had it on the rear, but centered and a little lower. I have the smaller S8 and I'm right handed and keep it in my right front pocket. I also like how all you have to do is put your finger there and it's unlocked. On the V10 it was a button with a sensor so you'd still have to push the button to unlock it, unless you double tapped on the screen first to wake it which hardly ever worked with just 2 quick taps.

I liked it from the beginning. The way my hand rests from my time with the S7 Edge makes it feel more natural.

It will continue to be an issue for people writing click bait blogs and articles though lol

I've never had an issue with it because I didn't plan on using it, but I am trying it out now just to see if it works well for Samsung pay.

I've had the S8 for 5 days. I've found myself being able to use the finger print login with no problem at all with either hand. Whether I'm holding the phone with my right hand or left hand, I can login with the finger print sensor just fine. In fact, I'm getting used to it. I haven't smudged the camera at all.

I know there's a lot of hate floating around regarding the location of the finger print sensor. I'm just saying. I have no problem with it at all now and it's second nature to me.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Same experience with my S8 here. I actually like the finger print scanner placement. Easy breezy! No smudges on camera lens either. I'm really happy with it.

My understanding is that the center placement was not possible due to the battery position inside the device.

No issues on my S8+ and I have tiny hands. I feel like the reviewers are making it out to be worse than it actually is. I've been able to unlock my phone using the fps every time I've tried

Well, the reviewers always write their reviews based on like 5 minutes of use. If they can't get used to it in 5 minutes, then it's terrible.

I think I got used to it after the 3rd day. Muscle memory just took over.

See, I'd rather Samsung moving it to the back and work fully than having it under the screen and is half-baked.

I'm sure Apple is diligently working on a way to make it work from under the screen. And I'm sure the S9 will have it under the screen as well. But for now, I don't have a problem with it at all.

Adapt and evolve.

It's OK where it is. I'm a leftie, so my finger rests there anyway.
I actually prefer it where it is. I have a good grip on the phone, when it was on the front I balanced the phone on my fingers holding it down with my thumb.
But, saying that it is an issue when I have my s view case on for work.
But then that's a leftie issue.

As hard as I tried to use the FPS it's hopeless ugh my hands holding and my pinky finger reaching that area is nearly impossible with my small hands.

I'm basically am only using the Iris Scanner instead which has been great so no biggie ?!

After a few days of use, when I've used the fps, its location hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, but the iris scanning has been so amazing and quick that I don't use any other method.

They always do that. Overinflated stories

I have the S8+ and have no problem finding the FPS, especially with the case on. I would say my hand size is "medium" and I don't have any issues reaching it. I use the iris scanner way more than the FPS but it's not because I have any issues with the FPS.

No issues here. I have to admit without a case it's a little more difficult to find though. Which isn't a problem since I have a case on 99% of the time.
