Who thinks the battery life is terrible on this tablet? Ive tried just about every rom and kernel combo out there. I mean my note 2 gets better life than this and then some.

I sure hope the revision they will put out this summer will be more battery friendly.

Actually, I've been getting excellent battery life. Whenever I take a break, I put it to sleep rather than turn it off, and I still get great battery life.

Mine goes about a day lately with 1-2 hrs usage. I keep Google Now off and GPS settings off. I've tried keep just 3G on and then only WiFi on and it doesn't make a difference. Could be an app causing it. I do sometimes use the voice search to find things and voice recognition to type what I say. Maybe that wears it down some too.

I use mine for internet surfing using Firefox, XM radio app and maybe reading a book 30 minutes a day.

Use SETTINGS and look at what is consuming your battery... Post results here.

For me when I barely got an hours usage and a full day on the battery, Android OS was on the top, Screen was second and everything else was too low too matter, like below 4%.

I've been getting great battery usage. I have Google now running and usually one to two apps going, one being music or podcast and after for hours still have not hit 50%.

I leave brightness at full, GPS and other networking settings always on, and get great battery life. The secret for me was disabling WiFi when the tablet is asleep; when WiFi was left on while asleep, it wouldn't go into true deep sleep at any point.

I'm satisfied with the battery life. Of course, in five years we'll be rolling our eyes at what we now consider to be satisfactory or even excellent battery life.

OK... that's odd... Android OS is usually in the lower end of the spectrum with normal usage. Historically, one should see Screen on top, then the most heavily used apps, then Android OS, then all the other background processes associated with apps. I must tell you this from experience on other devices, the wireless (3G) will be detrimental to your battery depending on two things -- proximity to a quality signal from your primary service provider and whether you have available WiFi at the same time. I know you wrote that you have turned them off to no avail but have you turned WiFi off and monitor what your 3G signal is on average over time? And then, vice versa... Or turn off both radios and only use on-board apps to see how it holds (example would be using games, watching a stored video, reading a book, or listening to stored music)? Finally, is everything up to date. Did you run the latest updates of OS via settings?

But with a cut brightness and GPS off, it will work even longer. I personally don't like when the screen is too bright, especially when I read an ebook.

Interesting difference. I leave wi-fi on Always during sleep and wi-fi optimization checked and only lose about 3% battery overnight. Mine obviously goes into deep sleep with those settings.

True, though I use it often and get more than a day out of it typically. I charge it each night so anything beyond that is unnecessary.

My battery life is amazing. I stream music all day at work (average of 6 hours) and it lasts around 2 to 2.5 days before I need a charge.

My battery life is excellent as well. It lasts for days, granted I use it minimal-moderately throughout the week.

My battery life is about 6 hours a day. My screen is the biggest power % user (44%) and I keep it on automatic brightness most of the time that isn't as bright as I want. I play one game that very graphic intense and that does reduce some of my time but I never get less than 4.8 hours. WiFi is only 6%.

Turn off auto brightness and manually set to lowest setting that works for you (you can always adjust it).

I think I figured out what my battery life was so poor lately. Today I noticed Tweetcaster Pro was using most of my battery life even though I rarely use it anymore and haven't used it in a few weeks. It still shows notifications though for mentions. I force quit it and it seems to be back to normal. I think there was an update to this app a week or two ago and that did something to affect the battery.

Marvelous... remove it completely if you don't use it. The thing I hate about some of the android apps is the lack of user control. I want an app to run background processes only when I want them to be running in the background... otherwise, it should only run services when the app is loaded and running at my command. I am glad you found a potential culprit.

You can enable developer options and control the number of background services and even kill activities as soon as you close them.

I uninstalled it. For the few times I want to use Twitter, I can use the official app.
