Amazing how many Ex One owners are here

It's funnyhow many so called EX owners of HTC One are still checking an HTC ONE topic. They all say the same. "yeah I had the same problem so I went with the S4" ANNOYING. Either you miss it or you are trolling. There is no reason I would check threads for phones I no longer own. That's just dumb. Thanks.

Can definitely understand where you're coming from in that regard to the possible trolling. But I've been frequenting this and the S4 forums even though I'm an iPhone 5 owner just to see how everyone is liking their devices and I'm a techno geek like most of us on here.

Some people also own both devices, others are interested in seeing if some of the early issues might be fixed (and consider going back), while yet another continent might be interested in the advancement of technology and just like to read up on every smartphone?

In your case I understand. But you wouldn't fall under that category.

I would understand if there were some constructive criticism. But most just talk smack. None of them sound like they want to get back. (if they ever had it)

I have an HTC One and I like it better than the S4. Its just what you want in the end. But I still visit the S4 forums. Not to make fun of, start trouble or to talk smack. Its just to see whats going on out there. People are allowed to visit other forums. In fact I was dealing with this same thing your posting about in the carrier forums. I used to be a Sprint user and I would hang around to give feed back on my does and don'ts for the same reason why some of them hang around here. I'm sure some are here to troll but I hate it when people toss this term around. Happens to everyone. Just becuase you are not using or have something doesn't make you useless on the forums.

I hate to break it to you but 80% of the information on these forums per device are pretty universal at the end of the day. If you feel that someone is trolling just report them rather than wasting a post on the forums like this that will in the end only clutter peoples search. Either way don't be angry here the post really is a double edge sword but thats just my opinion.

Have any of you owned a Nexus 4? Either way, which one do you think is better and why? The Nexus 4 or the HTC One?

I don't get either, especially to talk **** about it. I love my Super Phones but some are just TOO CLOSE to a company.

I'm a Mac user but can criticize Apple about the changes they need to make with the iPhone & iOS.

I do own both the One & S4 and I rarely visit my previous androids.

I have and love both but threads like this just continue to fan the flames of an already ridiculous fanboy flame war. The title in the way it is worded is meant to provoke a response from s4 owners. Adds little to zero value to this forum. The easiest way to stop the trolling or bashing is to ignore it. People won't continue to post if they know they aren't going to get a response.

I don't own the S4 or the HTC One... I am still on a S3 and post in both forums because I like both phones and like to read what people are talking about. I also try and help when it comes to basic troubleshooting for some issues and help if possible.

I have both phones and enjoy mixing it up in both forums. It's no secret which phone I prefer but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the other.

I have both phones. I hate on both equally. I want to like the HTC one more but it is over hyped in my opinion. Battery life and camera quality are my main reasons.

HTC One. Battery life was abysmal on my n4 compared to the One x and s4. On to of the bump in specifications it's a no brainer unless your top priority is timely updates.

Same. I can't seem to decide which I like more. Once I pop the SIM into my gs4 I miss something about the One. Same happens when I pop the SIM in my One. If someone put a gun to my head and made me choose I might go with the GS4 at this point because of the extra battery juice, camera quality and extra screen real estate but even then I might ask for an extension of time. They are both that good and have strengths that are unique to each other that no other device offers

I feel you. if i can just get the battery life a little better one the one, i think id be happy. quick charging needs to be enabled.

It's not odd for people to keep up on a device they recently used. I do that all the time because you can either help people who have the device now and in some cases you can learn about changes in software since you had it that will make you rethink. That has happened to me several times as well. I still frequent imore and crackberry to keep up even though I don't have any intent to buy one of their devices any time soon.

Offering someone advice on a device you used to own is not dumb, its using personal experience to support your advice. It is also not unprecedented for someone to own both devices, or to simply be intrigued on how the other device is fairing.

This thread seems to have been opened in the sole purpose of negativity. Luckily so far, it has not become that. Ill be keeping a close eye on this thread.

I am inclined to agree. Since I used to have an S2 as my daily driver, I can offer insight on tip, tricks, and overall troubleshooting for that device. And I constantly skim over that forum as well.

The OP wasn't talking about the double phone owners. I think it's more the trolling comments from former HTC One owners.

Personally, once I stop owning a phone I don't return to post or read about it. The only time I go check in is when I run into a forum for a phone I used to own years back....and find out folks are still owning that phone.

My apologies, my mistake. I guess those negative comments (not constructive, or elaborate) that I imagined, never happened. No one on this thread fits the profile, and thats great. I get on these forums to get help and learn new things. But it does grind my goat when I see people talk bad about this phone without elaborating or helping others. But glad it was just my imagination.
