Trying to install the app store (as I have a few free apps that I use regularly) and it tells me the apk is not compatible with the phone?

Yes, install from unknown sources is enabled.

Where did you get the APK from?

Direct from Amazon. No VPN. Installed and running just fine on a P6P (w/Android 13) on the same LAN.

Seems Amazon needs to update the app. Just tried it on mine with the same results.

Try a different version or a New one here but uninstall the current one

Google has disabled support for 32 bit applications on Pixel 7 Pro so if the applications aren't updated to 64 bit it may not install. Not sure if the Amazon app store APK is 32 bit or 64 bit, but could be one reason why it's failing to install. Just a rough guess

I had the same problem with my Instagram on Pixel 5 and the reason why it didnt work was, that I have transfered all of my data from Pixel 3 to 5 with an USB cable. For some reason Pixel 5 was with the app not compatible, so I did factory reset and everything was fine. I have heard, that another fix for it is to install an apk file and in the future check if there are any update for it.

Ah ha! I like this explanation. Guess I'll wait for an update...nothing there i can't live without.
