It has been my experience that people are quick to mock, when their efforts would be better spent trying to understand each other.I was gonna mock you for this response but instead Im just going to tell you I was going to mock you.
Nope didnt forget them at all.Forgot your meds today? Your rant makes it seem as if YOU might need to unplug. I stated an opinion. You went off the deep end and attacked me with the addiction BS. Who needs to unplug again?
And you know on the front page of the amazon app store it lists the previous days apps?words that could have been shorter.
I agree ATT should light a fire and fix it where you att people arent having to sideload the apps.ReuvenNY said:Talking about Amazon Apps: how about figuring out a way to put some pressure on AT&T to remove the absurd restriction on non-market apps?
Yes, I do. It reads: "Most Recent Free Apps of the Day".And you know on the front page of the amazon app store it lists the previous days apps?
Because you listed the app name in that post, the correct app of the day was preserved, notwithstanding the incorrect link.I can see how somebody might have been confused. But again the link took them to the front page and they could have seen what the app was. Further more if you read this whole thread you will see the original post has been edited by a mod with a link to the wrong app listed. So your theroy of preserving apps for people to see at a later date is moot.
Your responses used to foster intelligent discussion. Lately, you've been resorting to insults. I miss the old Eollie.Your 500 word essay to explain yourself could have been sumarized in a single picture.

See the poster posted the app of the day, which I was going to thank him for, the insulted the thread. The subsequent poster Then tried to pull the whole "big businesses are evol and your just a pawn for them" argument. Which I took even more offense seeing as how I only started this because I thought the people here might enjoy being able to look at one place instead of having to check the phone app or website store daily. Not everybody visits amazon daily. I know I normally wouldn't. However I do check the daily app because I like to help out OUR community of V users.
This thread is pointless..
Sorry. It's a heck of a lot easier to just launch the amazon app-store app and see what's there yourself.
If you want to have a thread DISCUSSING the daily app, that's one thing. But simply stating what it is everyday?
He made a good point IMO. Posting what the free app is everyday is yet another facet of our lives inundated by corporate advertising and propaganda. Let Amazon advertise, not some astroturfer.
Your OP you stated a opinion I think was to try and get a reaction but you werent prepared to be told to not read. I think You wanted more insults and/or name calling. However I seen the bait and only told you to unplug because you failed to get the desired response.
Unfortunately, if everyone used this yardstick in their conversation, one imagined insult could lead to all civility being cast away, with each side placing blame on the other for starting the mess.I respond to posts on the same level they are presented.
In this thread, xabbott has done the following:The original post was akin to insulting, I WAS insulted that somebody would post a app I missed then turn around the next post and try to berate the entire thread.
Hear, hear!...I only started this because I thought the people here might enjoy being able to look at one place instead of having to check the phone app or website store daily. Not everybody visits amazon daily. I know I normally wouldn't. However I do check the daily app because I like to help out OUR community of V users.
I agree.Hey,
Thanks Eollie for the great job. I think we need a mod to do a little clean up here.
In this thread, xabbott has done the following:
Following xabbott's last post, a different user by the name of xtravbx made a post expressing his opinion regarding the value he perceives this thread to have.
- Thanked one of your posts
- Posted 2 Amazon daily apps
- Responded in a helpful manner to a question that was presented
I believe you are confusing xabbott and xtravbx for the same person.
You have a point here. Although in most cases the person I respond to gets the hint.Unfortunately, if everyone used this yardstick in their conversation, one imagined insult could lead to all civility being cast away, with each side placing blame on the other for starting the mess.
Its apparent that I took your response out of context. For that I apologize. I suppose I was irked off by the other response still and wasnt reading in a neutral sense.Hear, hear!
Actually, that's a primary reason for why I responded to the post that linked to the front page of the Amazon Appstore with no additional text; it did not accomplish what you just described.
I apologize if you took offense at anything I said. I assure you, it was not, and has never been, my intention to insult
Here let me requote you..5hi7h34d said:BS. I stated an opinion, you attacked me and said I had an "addiction and needed to unplug for a while". I then told you to FOAD. End of story
Emphasis mine. I interpret this as "omg big business is evol and you are evol for trying to help your fellow androidians"He made a good point IMO.
