Amazon Appstore warning - accidental purchase

As I was browsing the Amazon appstore on my DroidX, a finger-slip caused me to buy an app that I had no interest in. There was no list of permissions, no confirmation dialog, and no undo. Fortunately, Amazon provides both an email link and a phone link to customer service. I contacted them immediately by both email & phone. By phone, the customer service rep immediatly agreed to refund the purchase. I also didn't install the app. I'll watch my credit card activity to make sure either the original charge doesn't go through or it and the refund do go through. It was only $2.95, but if a finger slips onto a more pricey app, it's a definite risk. I won't use the Amazon appstore on my DX until they get that fixed.

I also communicated this issue to the customer service person, so maybe they'll do something about it. I can't be the only person this has or will happen to.

good to know... i'm on an atrix anyways, no amazon store yet.

Don't think that's possible. On my general Amazon account through my computer, 1-click is off (and has always been off). When I loaded the Amazon appstore, it insisted on turning it on for that app, and there is no way in the app to turn it off for the phone-version. I checked "settings," and there is no option to turn it on/off. If you have found a way, please post details.

Just turn off 1 click buy. And problem solved :)

yeah same here. I wasn't thrilled I had to fill out all the info because i don't normally buy apps. I couldn't even get any apps until I set up 1-click. If someones found away around it, definitely let me know!

Yeah, I had a problem with the 1-Click crap, as well. I don't want to turn it on, I'd rather just get the free apps, or at least not have this same issue arise if I accidentally touch "Buy" on an app I don't want. I was kind of annoyed that I had to set it up that way just to get the free Angry Birds Rio the other day. It seems pointless when you're getting a free app. Why do they need to turn that on? Almost seems to me like they're trying to entrap people who won't take the time to contact customer service like you did.
