I know this isn't directly related to the Thunderbolt, but today's free app is Thumb Keyboard. For anyone looking for a new keyboard to tryout, I would recommend giving this great app a go!!!

I downloaded it earlier today. I haven't tried it out yet though. Based off the reviews it seems to be a pretty descent app.

Well then I may have to give it a try then. I like Swiftkey but willing to give others a try. I used the smart keyboard and found it to be somewhat lacking. I should try the GB one now that we have GB but.....

I had issues with it not responding well to my touches. The split keyboard is cool because you don't have to switch when typing numbers but i too often had to delete and retype letters or words and it just got annoying. The even with the GB update.

I downloaded it and then installed last night. I am really liking it so far and even can use both thumbs at times. Love the fact that stupid word suggestion bubble doesn't interfere with what I'm typing. Going to keep messing with the settings and then will probably see if hubby wants it for his GZ Commando.

I think it is worth the money myself

The split design in portrait confuses me, but all in all I really, really like this keyboard. There are more keys immediately visible on the screen which means less keyboard-switching, and you can turn off spacebar-autocorrect (suggestions will appear, but when I hit the spacebar what *I* typed stays there!!!).

And, honestly, I'd rather send the occasional typo then have autocorrect pick a correctly-spelled word that I didn't intend. Damnyouautocorrect.com has plenty of stuff out there, they don't need more entries from me.

All in all, I really like Thumb Keyboard.

As we say up here, "Ayuh, that they'a's a keepah."

Yes, you are, the original post was from yesterday. Sorry.

I don't honestly know if I'd pay $2.50 for it at first, but I might now after having tried it.

It's a really interesting keyboard, especially the "offset split" in portrait mode. It's a little odd not having the rows of keys line up (the QWERT and YUIOP lines are on completely different spots on the screen, you'll have to look at a screenshot for it to make sense) but it does work after a little mental adjustment that I'm still struggling with. Sometimes I love the sheer number of keys on the screen, sometimes I feel like I'm having a stroke trying to deal with the left half of the keyboard being above and the right half of the keyboard being below.

I did try the split in landscape, but when I go landscape, I'm planning on entering a lot of text and I want BIG KEYS, so I went with the simple "biggest keys you can give me" setting, and when I need to type lots of text I use that. Fortunately, you can pick-and-choose between layouts independently, so complex stuff I type in portrait and bulk text entry works well in landscape.

Can someone tell me where I can get the Amazon app store?

Also did anyone else notice all their bloat ware is gone? My blockbuster app & a bunch of others are no longer on my phone but are under uninstalled on the Android market?
