I don't have a Xoom yet, can I download these free apps they're offering and save them for later? I will not be able to get one until next month.

I doubt they would let me just have a file of it for piracy reasons, but they could just attribute it to my account, no?

Yes you can download them to your phone now and add them to your Xoom later.

I would say yes. I think purchases made in the amazon appstore is like the android market and it is associated with your amazon account so download away

I'll try it out and see what happens I guess.

*edit: I don't think this is possible. They will send a download link to my email but I have to click it from an android device otherwise I just download some "Amazon_Appstore-release.apk" file to my desktop (it was the same file for two different apps). And it does not show up on my "electronic orders" page on Amazon.

As far as I know you can only download android apps to an android device.

Yep - you will need to have an android device -- any android device. Even if you don't have one - get a fried who has one to load the amazon app to his phone - log in with your amazon account - DL the app's etc.. Then when you get yours they will show up in your apps. If it's an app you really want you could even try to load up a andriod device in the Verizon store - DL it - sign in- and then remove the app and your account info.
