I picked up an Android OTA update last night and found this in it (Settings -> Display):

Works pretty well.

Did anyone else get that update yet? It's in Build number OPM171019.018

I believe this feature was available at launch - I am pretty sure it was there when I first received my Pixel 2 in early December. The default setting was too distracting for me. I have the intensity on mine set to just below 50%.

Good idea but for me, as I work days and nights it's just not much use. Good for those trying to sleep tho and that blue light definitely keeps you awake

I don't think this is new as I've been using it all along and have it set to kick in at 11pm. When it does it kinda reminds me it's time to start thinking of beddybye. It's kind of a nice tint but I prefer the setting off 40% I usually use over this anyway.

Always been there and mine is always on much easier on the eyes

But it wasn't always amber, was it?

The reason I thought it was new is because it was at the top of Settings (where new stuff often debuts) the first time I went there after the update.

Yeah, it's been amber. Got my phone in January and have had it enabled the whole time.

Mine says it's amber although I have it turned down pretty much to just tone down the bright white. Did you check your amber-ness(intensity)adjustment?

Yeah, it's been amber. Got my phone in January and have had it enabled the whole time.

Yeah - I've been very busy with other stuff and not paying so much attention to my devices of late. I guess I was caught off guard when the night light function turned up in the Settings suggestions after the last OS update.

Yeah this has been around awhile. I've been using it since day 1 on my Pixel 2 XL.
