An All-Neural On-Device Speech Recognizer

Gboard asked me this just now. downloaded and tested. Freaky fast. Huge improvement. Big thumbs up.Screenshot_20190313-182911.jpeg
 
Agreed. It's great to see this type of on device tech. I loaded it last night and have been trying it out today.
Too bad doesn't work on SwiftKey. Kind of a bummer since is the keyboard I like and using.

I also prefer SwiftKey for typing (split keyboard layout in landscape orientation, which is how I do all my typing; insert predicted word by pressing Space bar) but I think the whole point of this voice recognition is to just replace the keyboard so that you don't even have to bother with it.
I'm just not the kind of person to sit and talk to my phone; I prefer typing as it lets me compose my thoughts. To each his/her own...

Ya, not going to happen. I am at work 10 hours a day. Need privacy while typing. Speaking texts out loud ain't going to do it.
