an error occured while fetching data (no peer certificate)

I just all of a sudden started getting this last week, I uninstalled the facebook app and went back to the old version and it worked fine but I was receiving any notifications from facebook anymore, I learnt that I had to push the notifications through from fb settings on the phone but the old app doesn't have that feature so I reinstalled the latest app for fb and this is the message I am now getting about the no peer certificate. Could someone please help me as I am totally clueless about this sort of thing and it is doing my head in lol
