An Open Letter to HTC and Sprint: How About a Compromise?

Sometimes people buy a ugly car because what under the hood that makes the car

Yeah, but it's the exception more than the rule. If this is supposed to be the next superphone, then its kinda the equivalent to an ugly Ferrari. I haven't seen too many new ugly Ferrari's.

I don't know how you view a phone but i look at the screen not the back.i can care less what the back look like i can always dress it up if it bothers me that much

I'm just throwing examples out there. You may loom at the screen the mmost, but you also see the back. That's why many people aren't happy.

I honestly think this would be an even bigger issue if Sprint had a few phones ready to come out. Since there really isn't too much choice on Sprint right now, it makes it easier for some to completely overlook the fugliness

If the back of the phone is that important simply dont buy it................ I can't believe how much attention this is getting. If i dont like the way a product looks I dont buy it, I dont try to get the manufacturer to redesign it to my liking...........................

What a ridiculous waste of time. The only people that care about the shine of the back half of a phones case are people who can't afford the phone so they're making @#%& up about how the phone isn't as good as theirs so they feel better about themselves. Or, they just bought a phone not quite as good and are insulting the back half cover for the same reasons as not being able to afford it. Why are these posts made, why did Pulse link me here, why did I respond. All good questions... Who @#%& ing cares? Also no one will not buy a phone because of a case shinyness and if they say that's their reason then they're too afraid to admit they can't afford it. There's no shame in not being able to afford every new smartphone that is released (or A smartphone) but be honest with yourself before you blame shine.

Wow, we went from one guy questioning peoples masculinity and touting his own to another questioning people's finances. LMAO

To be frank I think most mobile devices are kinda ugly - I'm more interested in specs, functionality, hand-feel, etc.

I use cases, so if not for the weird dual camera it'd be difficult to tell my phone from many other ones anyway. Most of them are candybar touchscreens these days, anyway.

I think you might be an idiot.

In one of the videos I watched the HTC guy mentioned the beautiful piano black cover.

HTC thinks it's beautiful.

Sprint likely had a LOT to do with the design. But we've all seen the choices they make...you can't trust a Sprint exec. to pick their nose correctly.

They stuck 4 colors on the outside of this phone, when we live in a two-tone iWorld.

They're idiots, and they made an ugly phone.

Remember everyone, it's okay to complain much in the same way many of you are complaining about people that complain to much.

I am in the construction biz so i need a rugged case anyways, the back of the phone could be all red as far as I'm concerned. The deal breaker for me is no removable battery. I will be looking for a competitive phone which does have a removable battery for a multitude of reasons.

Sorry, because it was black Al I though it was micro arc. Maybe thats good. There are rumors the micro arc finish is chipping.

After taking another look at the phone I think whoever decided what color it would be needs to be slapped. It's unbelievable someone could be that out of touch.
