I woke up this morning to see an upper case R in-between the wifi and signal strength icons this morning. No clue what that means. I'm apart of the Android Beta program and I also beta test the Google app. Anyone else have this?

That 'R' usually means roaming. Do you have mobile data enabled? If so switch it off and see what happens with the icon.Screenshot_20190729-090002.jpeg

Thanks, Javier P. When I switched data off, I now see an X in the bottom right corner of the data triangle, and the R is still present. In the Beta testing forum, another tester responded that he also had an R. He did a factory reset and the R disappeared. Not sure that I want to do an FDR just yet. Strange.

Yes, factory reset sounds a bit radical for what it looks like a beta bug. Maybe just try some basic stuff first. Make sure that roaming is off, both for calls and data, switch the SIM card off and back on, switch aeroplane mode on & off.

Go into settings. Search 'roaming' and you'll find a setting which will be most probably turned on. Turn it off and see if it goes away.

I'd almost chalk this up to a Beta bug. Something to keep in mind....betas were NEVER meant to be daily driver versions.

That's what I'm hoping. The phone is working normally for calls, so hopefully the next update takes care of it. Thanks!
