So i was wondering why my Android System takes up 40% of my battery when my phone is just on standby. I don't think I have any run away apps going.... I run watchdog and it doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. Can anyone comment and maybe throw a tip or two out there! Thanks!!!
 
First, understand that percentage doesn't mean A-S is using 40% of you battery. It the percentage of the battery used, that's used by that app. The total for all apps has to add up to 100. So if the phone isn't being used for anything else, the OS and A-S, since they're always running, will use a higher percentage.

But 40% still seems high. What is your battery life like? I'm not sure that watchdog works very well at trapping system functions. Have you seen this thread:
