Android Central Question

Hi, I have Android 10 on a Blackview BV9900 Pro with AT&T as my service provider.

Since getting the phone, my voicemail, which is configured to dial *86, has not worked. It returns 'Your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and try your call again.' AT&T was no help. I figured out that if I set my voicemail to my personal number, then it would recognize the call as a VM call and prompt for my pass code and work just fine.

However, after a period of time, I would find that the VM number was changed *back* to *86. Can anyone help with what is going on here and with how I can fix this? Either getting it to work with *86 or with how to get the VM number change to stick.

Thanks in advance...

Welcome to Android Central! Does it usually revert to *86 after a reboot or complete power down?

Looks like at least some other people have seen this on other Blackview phone: https://www.techbone.net/blackview/a80-pro/voicemail-in-setup-keeps-reverting-to-86/3219
